In the immediate village area:
The walks around the village and local coasts are wonderful, offering you a variety of scenic sheltered woodland or exposed cliff-top walks.
Four of the most popular walks would be:
• Penlee Woods to Pier Cellars and Penlee Point (and onwards to Rame Head?)
• Fort Picklecombe, (converted to luxury apartments),
• Mt Edgcumbe House and Country Park Estate
• Whitsands Bay with its 6 miles of sandy beaches (more so at lower tides)
The South West Coastal Footpath is quite close by.
In addition you might consider:

• Whitsand Bay Golf Course, Portwrinkle, Whitsands Bay (6 miles away)
• Whitsand Bay Caravan Holiday Park with indoor swimming pool and gym. Tregonhawke,
Whitsands Bay (3 miles away)
• Rame Gig Club, rowing and gym use right besides Sea Edge
• Cawsand Bay Sailing Club. Racing Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings visitors welcome.
(there is some space for visitor’s dinghies on the beach)

Catch the Ferry from the beach to visit: (weather permitting)
• the National Aquarium, with its unique collection of sea horses is bound to please.
• the Barbican – the ancient waterside area of Plymouth
• Plymouth city Centre – 'for retail therapy’
• Plymouth Hoe - where Drake played bowls whilst the Spanish Armada approached
For rainy days and/or a car drive away:
• the Eden Project
• the Lost Gardens of Heligan
• Antony House, National Trust property 6 miles away
• Cothele House another National Trust estate
• Looe Tourist village and day fishing trips
